Dear member,

It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our wonderful Chrystina, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, 8 August 2026.

Chrystina was a truly special part of the Phoenix Association family. Her kindness, compassion and enormous love for animals shone through in everything she did. She gave so much of her time, her heart and herself to Phoenix, and was always there with warmth, encouragement and a helping hand.

She was not simply a member of Phoenix. She was part of its heart.

Thank you for everything you gave, Chrystina.
To Phoenix, to the animals, to your friends and to this world.

You made a difference.
You were loved.
And you will be very deeply missed.

Rest peacefully, beautiful lady.

CHRYSTINA WARDLEWORTH

Our colleague and friend Chrystina Wardleworth passed away peacefully on 8 August at the hospital in Sarlat-le-Canada. She requested no floral tributes, and asked that those wishing to make donations should pass them to the Phoenix Association. Condolences and reminiscences can be posted on the Association’s FB page.

Her funeral is to be at 10:00 tomorrow (Friday 14 August) at the crematorium in Notre Dame de Sanilhac, south of Perigieux.

Notre collègue et amie Chrystina Wardleworth s'est éteinte paisiblement le 8 août à l'hôpital de Sarlat-le-Canada. Elle souhaitait qu'on ne lui envoie pas de fleurs et que les personnes désirant faire un don le remettent à l'Association Phoenix. Vous pouvez laisser vos condoléances et vos souvenirs sur la page Facebook de l’Association.

Ses obsèques auront lieu demain (vendredi le 14 aout) à 10h au crématoire de Notre Dame de Sanilhac, au sud de Perigieux.
