Oscar came into our care after being found searching for food around the bins in Issigeac. He was extremely thin, very hungry, and had one paw that was not fully functional. After a veterinary examination, it turned out that Oscar had suffered an accident some time ago and had fractured his right hind leg. The nerves are working, and there is no other damage apart from some calcification on the bones, but he cannot run, jump high or hunt birds like other cats.

Fortunately, Oscar is not in pain and is a very happy cat.

Because of his past struggle to find food and survive, Oscar can be very protective around mealtimes. For that reason, he may not be the best match for a home with young children. He loves cuddles, but he is also very clear when he has had enough. He enjoys the outdoors, but only in a safe environment, as he cannot run like the wind.

Oscar is social and affectionate. He can be like velcro one moment, and independent the next. He gets along well with other cats and dogs, as long as nobody tries to steal his food. A calm home with an older person, where he can sit nearby and enjoy companionship, would be ideal.

Oscar truly deserves a warm home of his own, with a soft bed and a bowl plus basket to call his own. Who can give this special boy the loving home he deserves?
